01. Sound Of Nature II

Girl Double Exposure Portrait Photography

Photographer: Emily Nguyen | Deviantart Profile

Hello! my name is Emily Nguyen and I am based in Los Angeles, California. I believe in flowers and nature. I’m no one important, just an autumn fragrant. I love telling stories and express my emotions through my photos. It’s a temporary escape from reality. Photographing is what I do; I don’t ‘capture’ anything. My photography conveys words that I cannot speak. Everything is influenced by my surrounding.

This is a portrait of my friend DJ/Writer, Nhu Nguyen. We decided to collaborate together because we share a common interest and that would be the love we have for nature. We are all born into this earth and we should learn to improve how to grow together because we are the roots that feed into the soil.

This photograph was shot indoor setting with a Nikon 7000, AF-S DX NIKKOR
18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED
. Fan for wind affects and processed through Photoshop CS5.1.

My name is Swetlana Engel and I’m a hobbyist photographer from Berlin, Germany. Photography is my passion and I love it to take pictures since I was 13.

This portrait took my cousin with my beloved camera Canon 1100D & Youngnuo Lens EF 50mm. It was a quite spontaneous shot. I edited this portrait with Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom. This photo was taken in Berlin and the lightning was naturally.

03. Empty bridges

Photographer: Holger Nitschke | Deviantart Profile | Facebook Fanpage

Hello my name is Holger Nitschke and I’m 37years old and live near Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. I begin with the people-photography in the year 2004.

I’ve taken this image on a Sunday while we walk with model through the town to take spontaneous pictures. We tried to find some “empty” places to support the model’s expressive style. With her brave “Wednesday”-dress she fits perfectly on this empty bridge. I’ve taken the image with my little Fuji x100t with available light – the post processing is almost done in Lightroom with some contrast and color-correction – nothing else, instead of some spot-repair.

04. The lovers that went wrong

Photographer: Federica Nardese | Deviantart Profile | Facebook Fanpage | 500PX Profile | Website

My name is Federica Nardese, I’m a fine art and contemporary portrait photographer based in Milan, Italy. I begun portrait photography in 2010 but I’ve been photographing for all my life. Photography now still is a huge passion but also a part time job, the other one is working as educator and counselor in the HR field.

My web site: Visualstory.biz (Gives you a more extended overview on my portraits and style)

When I took this photograph some weeks ago I was repeatedly listening to “Youth” by Daughter. The title is a line in that song. I chose that because of the melancholy feeling it conveys to me, still trying to portrait a stronger (yet delicate) kind of femininity.

The model in that picture is Valentina Patat (facebook.com/royalpatat) that was the first time we met ever. I needed a model to realize this set and I posted a message on FB. She replied and we met the following morning. We met in Milan at 7:45 am because I wanted a flat daylight with no hard shadows.

Took this portrait in a public park in the very centre of Milan, since the winter is quite mild here this year we found this amazing tree full of those pink flowers.

I suggest every portrait photographer to buy that lens: Sigma 85mm is new to me as well and since I have it I really feel the need to have a set every week. It really changed the way I’m looking at my portraits and take them. So go for it guys, it really worth the money you need to invest in it.

Photographer: Leroy | Deviantart Profile | Facebook Fanpage | Instagram Profile | Tumblr Profile

Hello my name is Leroy. I am 19 years old. I live in Russia. I’m from the city of Rostov. I am a sociable person. Love to meet new people and I have lots of hobbies.

Each person has their own interests and hobbies such as reading books, watching TV, sports. I think everyone should have a hobby and my favorite hobby is photography. Heat, light, love, happiness and a piece of soul are few things special and unique in my photographs.

The beauty of simplicity, the beauty of feelings and emotions, the beauty of a sunset, which almost every day passes by, the beauty of human hearts this is what I feel and what I want to convey through my photographs.

08. Autumn

Photographer: Dmitry Elizarov | Deviantart Profile | Facebook Fanpage | Instagram Profile | Tumblr Profile | 500PX Profile

My name’s Dmitry Elizarov. I’ve been a web-designer for years. Later I’ve tried illustration for a bit. Now I’m a portrait photographer, who likes to focus on subtle, yet, pronounced emotions and moods, taking a cinematic approach when I feel like it. So in autumn of 2014, when the model, we were going to shoot together with, came to my hometown of Saint Petersburg for the first time, we took a walk downtown. Here, along the shore of Neva, I took about 5 pictures purposefully superimposing Olesya’s head over the tree in the background to make both main triangle shapes have a single axle in the middle of the frame since I didn’t want to overcomplicate things. This one was the best of them, partially due to the sun just starting to come up from behind the clouds at that very moment, giving us this perfect highlight on the face.

Post production didn’t take too much time: some usual dodge-n-burn and vignettes. I got rid of yellow color, leaving in only pink-orange and teal-blue groups, added even more cold tones to shadows and warm tones to whites. Black point was risen to lessen the amount of details in shades. A little desaturation helped in achieving muted tones to emphasize the mood.

The most boring part in the end: I used my Nikon D7000 with 35mm f/1.8 lens at F/2.0 and who cares, right?

09. Bride II

Bride Portrait Photograph in Forest

Photographer: Michael Braun | Deviantart Profile

My name is Michael Braun, I’m originally from Germany but now work in Bangkok as a full-time teacher on weekdays, while running a photography business together with my wife, a make-up artist, on weekends. We’ve been taking photos for over 12 years.

I’m particularly proud of this image because it was the result of the first shoot we had after our baby break. Now being a parent I see the world a little differently, and I feel my photography has reached a new level of maturity. It was taken in a field in a suburb of Bangkok at dawn right after the sun disappeared behind the horizon. Even though the light was almost gone, my Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Canon 85mm at F/1.8 were able to keep the shutter speed fast enough to freeze the movement at 1/160s.

10. Color of the wind

Girl Portrait Photograph with Autum Leaves

Model: Cynthia Chovska | Photographer: Bryan Ham

Hello my name is Cynthia Chovska. I am a french/czech cosplayer and model, living in Prague now since last June. I love creating new characters and especially from Disney. Pocahontas is my favorite Disney movie, so I have started the cosplay in France, few years ago but it was not done because of some materials I didn’t have.. When I moved in Prague, I met a fantastic photographer, Bryan Ham and we made some great shot together, so I decided to continue my Pocahontas cosplay here and shoot with him. In Prague there is many beautiful forests, and during falls, they are stunning..It was a little bit cold, but we had fun! I hope to make more picture of this character in the future!
