Whengenn in Wonderland: Creative Dream Project by a mother
Queenie Liao mother of 4-year-old son Whengenn started this dream project to capture her parenthood inspired by Anne Geddes. By using homemade props and Nikon D40x or D7000 with an 18-200mm lens and focusing her son as the subject she made her childhood dreams come true.
In an interview with Digital SLR magazine she revealed how she managed the whole project which she started from 2010, she has a collection of more than 100 images till date. It took a lot of patience to capture those images even when Whengenn was asleep.
I see no reason to rush-The best images come from when he’s sleeping peacefully. Sometimes it would take me three days to get a nice image – Queenie says.
Queenie has also written a book in Chinese entitled “Sleeping Baby” in 2012 covering this project for helping parents who seek creative photo ideas to capture their baby and toddler pictures, she is also planning to release the English version of this book.
